About
I’m Kaushik Iska. I lead engineering for Postgres at ClickHouse, where we build Postgres managed by ClickHouse and the tooling that moves data between Postgres and ClickHouse.
In 2023 I co-founded
PeerDB (YC S23) with Sai Srirampur, to make replicating data out of Postgres fast and simple. ClickHouse acquired PeerDB in 2024, and it now powers the Postgres CDC connector in ClickPipes.
Before that:
- At
Google I was a tech lead on the
Flutter engine, including its embedding for
Fuchsia. - At
SafeGraph I led the team that built the Places dataset: cutting buildings and
deduplicating places.
- At
Palantir I worked on data ingestion, search, and distributed backend systems.
I studied Computer Science at
IIIT Hyderabad, with honors in computational geometry under
Dr. Kishore Kothapalli. In 2013 my team placed 73rd at the ACM ICPC World Finals.
Outside work I read a lot, run when I can, and chase twin toddlers.
